🍔 We Ate All The Burgers In Asheville So You Don't Have To

Good Morning Reader,

If you follow our adventures on social media, you saw that Tom and I tried to catch the peak azalea bloom at Biltmore Estate (4/21). We missed it - and had a good laugh commiserating with everyone else who showed up expecting those vibrant colors.

We were also on a Biltmore/Cedric's Tavern burger mission (new pics!) - and that, we accomplished...

Don't Tell My Doctor, But We Updated The Burger Guide

I'll never forget when I had my annual physical, and my primary asked about work. I said, well, Tom and I are currently eating all the burgers in Asheville for a piece I'm working on.

She looked at me to ensure this wasn't a super long-term commitment... Even on Rinvoq, I'm happy to report my cholesterol is surviving (and we don't eat red meat very often otherwise).

With that said, Tom and I have been all over town once again to find and reconfirm the best burgers in Asheville: plant-based, smashed, paired with a craft beer, and with the funkiest interior design and funniest IG videos. Here's what we came up with, including 3 videos:

While At Baby Bull, Head To Newly Re-Opened Summit Coffee RAD

Devastated by Helene, Summit Coffee RAD has moved into the former Bottle Riot building at Wedge Studios. During the day, grab coffee. My strawberry latte with oat milk was excellent. At night, they’ll soon be opening “Joyful Noise,” a listening lounge with a small bites kitchen. It’s SO retro cool inside.

🅿️ Also, please note that the Wedge Studios parking lot is becoming a pay lot. The businesses here will validate if you are parking there to patronize them.

A Quick Note On Images & A Small Ask

📸 You may notice watermarks on some of our photos (when I have time to add them), and honestly, I wish I didn't have to. Unfortunately, content thieves - AI spam blogs, nostalgia "I grew up in NC" Facebook groups run by foreign accounts, real estate agents, local businesses, etc. - keep stealing our images and writing, crediting them as their own. It's Copyright Infringement, and it's everywhere now.

Every photo I take and caption I write costs real time and money. Watermarking isn't pretty or fun, but it's becoming necessary to protect work that pays to keep this site going. It unfortunately won't stop all the thieves, either.

If you ever spot our photos or writing somewhere that isn't Uncorked Asheville or The Uncorked Librarian, please let me know. It means more than you know.

And, if you love what we do, a small tip goes a long way toward keeping it going. 💙 Now, go eat that burger...
